Overview
The Operations Analyst Program is a rotational development program that offers a broad and in-depth exposure to business operations at Susquehanna and will prepare you for a Tax Analyst position that immediately impacts our business.
During the first six months of the program, you will work alongside the operations team to gain in-depth exposure to the trading desks and various business areas at Susquehanna. Y our rotations are designed to provide insight into how Susquehanna is structured and will incorporate hands-on experience through daily responsibilities and project work. Your project work is designed to familiarize you with the overall operations of the firm and flow of information as it pertains to tax. In addition to rotations, the program includes classroom training sessions focused on developing company-specific knowledge, technical skills, and business effectiveness skills. You will continuously build relationships and a network of colleagues across the firm which will be an invaluable resource throughout your career at Susquehanna.
Once you complete the program, you will be begin your career in tax. As an analyst on our tax team, you will have an opportunity work on projects that help to determine and ensure that the business is able to effectively maximize after-tax profit for the trading activity taking place. You will work on projects that give you exposure to multiple departments (such as trading, operations and technology) as well as multiple systems (both third party platforms and those internally developed) to ensure that proper documentation is obtained and accurate reporting is being performed. Supporting such projects will give you the unique opportunity to learn about current tax rules and how they impact various aspects of the business.
Throughout the program, you will be mentored by senior members of Susquehanna's tax and operations team who will work with you to guide your development process. At the end of your rotations, you will be expected to leverage your diverse skill set and knowledge of Susquehanna's business to maximize your impact as a member of our tax team.
What we're looking for
• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline preferred
• Ability to start full time in August 2025
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access
• Prior co-op/internship/work experience in a tax paraprofessional or related role preferred
• Experience with VBA, SQL or Access preferred
• Ability to collaborate with a team while having the confidence to work independently
• Ability and desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Visa sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position now or in the future
